About the Cambridge course

Cambridge YLE International Certificate is examined and awarded by Cambridge University English Examinations for students from 7 to 12 years old, recognized in more than 150 countries. YLE certification system, short for Young Learners English Test, consists of 3 certificates with increasing difficulty divided into 3 levels: Starters, Movers, and Flyers. Cambridge YLE certificate only needs to be taken once and can be used forever.

TONO English has YLE Pre-Starters, YLE Starters, YLE Movers, YLE Flyers, KET, and PET classes to help children create a solid English foundation, ready to take the Cambridge English Language Assessment exam to get a Cambridge certificate equivalent to the level. Through that, students can assess and prove their English proficiency levels.

Listening – Speaking	Greet, introduce yourself. Answer questions about surrounding topics.
Read	Recognize the alphabet and elemental sounds. Recognize and read essential vocabulary words such as colors, animals, and the world around them.
Age	From 6 years old
Program	Learn phonetics. Vocabulary, Alphabet. Sentence patterns, simple sentence structures. Combine basic grammar knowledge.
Duration of study	2 sessions/week 90 mins/session 96 sessions
Listening – Speaking	Listen to understand and answer simple questions from teachers.
Read	Read simple sentences. Complete reading comprehension according to the center’s program. Form a daily reading habit.
Write	Memorize and write thematic vocabulary. Write simple, grammatically correct sentences.
Age	From 8 years old
Program	Learn communication, vocabulary. Sentence patterns, long sentence structures, phrases. Advanced grammar knowledge.
Duration of study	2 sessions/week 90 mins/session 96 sessions
Listening – Speaking	Complete conversations with teachers and essential communication. Formation of reflexes in communication. Describe the picture.
Read	Ability to read short paragraphs, conversations. Know how to exploit content to answer reading comprehension questions.
Write	Themed writing closely follows the center’s curriculum framework.
Age	From 10 years old
Program	Learn communication, vocabulary Sentence patterns, long sentence structures Advanced grammar knowledge

Listening – Speaking	Moving to the academic stage, natural reflective communication. Practice critical skills gradually during the learning process. Short presentations, speaking in pairs and groups.
Read	The voice is fluent, and there is a clear attachment. Reading comprehension of long readings on familiar topics. Have skills in reading and filling in words.
Write	Develop articles and paragraphs according to topics that closely follow the training program and IELTS 3.5 roadmap framework.
Age	From 12 years old
Program	Learn presentations through topics and vocabulary. Sentence patterns, long structures. Advanced grammar knowledge.
Duration of study	2 sessions/week 60 mins/session 100 sessions ( 1 year)
Hear	Understand notifications and other verbal information at a moderate pace.
Read - Write	Understand information such as signs, magazines, and articles. Write topical articles. Ability to expand ideas.
Speak	Can participate in group conversations. Have critical skills.
Age	From 14 years old
Program	Learn presentations through topics and vocabulary. Sentence patterns, long structures. Advanced grammar knowledge.

Listening – Speaking	Listen to and criticize multidimensionally with teachers and friends. Familiar with the standard European listening/speaking format.
Read	Focus on readings that explain thinking and build a standard tone of voice in IELTS 4.0 form. Have reading comprehension skills.
Write	The direction of focusing on articles of high academic nature, requiring the ability to reason and reason for the article according to each framework of IELTS 4.0. Write essays, letters, and emails.
