The contest “Read like a scholar – Read with TONO” helps young people increase their English vocabulary, develop their imagination, and learn new knowledge.
TONO English hopes that this contest will motivate young people to read books and consider it a daily habit.
TONO would like to send parents and children the contest rules as follows:
Topic: Candidates should write or record their feelings about an English book they love.
1. Participants: Students from grades 1 to 5 throughout the TONO. system
2. How to join the program
– Write your feelings, draw illustrations, mind maps, and your feelings about your favorite book in English (no more than 500 words)
– Recording, recording the presentation of your feelings about your favorite book in English (no more than 3 minutes)
– Register for the contest with TONO English to receive the contest code
– After receiving the contest code via email, candidates submit their entries through the playground group “TONO Learning Community”
3. Entries layout
– Opening part: Introduce yourself, introduce the book you have read: author, publisher, etc.
– Content section: Briefly introduce the content and meaning of the book, and state the feelings and values of the book to be applied in learning and personal life.
– Conclusion: State the lesson and message you want to convey from the book and your suggestions to improve children’s reading culture today. Especially reading books in English.
4. Prizes
– First prize: Total prize up to 2,000,000 VND:
+ 1 Clever Hippo electronic drawing board
+ 1 Oxford Read and Discover series
+ 1 voucher worth 1,000,000 VND
– 5 consolation prizes: Oxford Read and Discover series
5. Time to take place
– Deadline for submission: before October 20, 2022
